The City Clerk’s Office is responsible for maintaining, protecting, and preserving the official records of the City. Members of the public may request access to or copies of these records by submitting a request to the City Clerk.
The City Clerk also plays a key role in supporting City Council operations by preparing council information packets and maintaining the official record (minutes) of each City Council meeting.
In addition, this office oversees the planning, recording, and reporting of the City’s financial activities. Responsibilities include accounts receivable and payable, treasury management (including banking and investments), payroll processing, purchasing, and the management of both short-term and long-term debt. The City Clerk’s Office also coordinates the City’s annual independent audit.
